Enstark Precision Gears FAQ
What is the difference between bevel, miter, and hypoid gears?

Bevel gears transmit motion between intersecting shafts at any ratio. Miter gears are a specific bevel gear type with a 1:1 ratio, used only to change direction without changing speed. Hypoid gears look similar but their shaft axes are offset rather than intersecting, allowing higher torque, quieter operation, and a lower mounting profile.
