Custom CNC Turning

Custom CNC Turning

High precision CNC lathe turning and Swiss screw machining for cylindrical parts, shafts and custom fittings. Enstark runs live tooling lathes in-house, so complex features like cross drilling and off center milling happen in a single setup instead of a second vendor.

CNC Turning Capabilities and Lathes

A CNC lathe spins the workpiece while a fixed tool cuts it, which makes turning the fastest and most cost effective way to produce cylindrical parts. Enstark pairs turning with milling and finishing on the same floor, so a shaft that needs a flat, a cross hole and a polish does not travel between three shops to get there.

CNC Turning Facilities Across China. Built to Ship Worldwide

Enstark runs a network of CNC turning facilities across China, purpose built for high volume, tight tolerance cylindrical parts. You get the throughput of a large scale CNC turning operation and the accuracy control of a shop that lives and dies by roundness and concentricity specs.

Enstark Manufacturing Engineering FAQ
What is the difference between live tooling and Swiss lathe turning?

A live tooling lathe holds the bar stationary in a chuck while powered tools cut secondary features like cross holes, flats and slots without moving the part to a second machine. A Swiss lathe instead feeds the bar through a guide bushing so the cutting tool sits close to the point of support, which controls deflection on long, thin parts. Enstark uses live tooling for most standard turned parts and switches to Swiss turning when your part has a high length to diameter ratio or needs micro features on a small diameter.

What is the maximum bar diameter and part length you can turn?
Can CNC turning hold tight roundness and concentricity tolerances?
When should I choose CNC turning instead of CNC milling for my part?
Can you add threads, knurling, or cross drilled holes to a turned part?
What happens if a turned part does not meet the tolerances on my drawing?
